A freshly-confirmed NASA administrator, one who actually is a rocket scientist. White smoke heralding a new leader for the Catholic Church. Much rearrangement in the world order this week. Maybe I�ll get another kitten just to shake things up around the house. I�m not Catholic, but I was a huge Pope John Paul II fan. Huge. His passing extinguished a light from the world. Sometimes I wonder, what it would be like to put yourself on the line every day struggling, reaching, uplifting those around you. To sacrifice all, hold nothing back. I suppose that�s why Islam translates to �I surrender.� Having segued from Catholicism to Islam in five sentences, I think I should find a new subject before I start quoting Albert Schweitzer, because that will only lead to Isak Dinesen and then we�ll be in Africa. . Hey! I�m taking a vacation. Really, I�m leaving the office for several days. I�m going to Italy to look at the cool space toy we bought, then we�re staying over after business concludes for a couple days. We buy various things to build a spacecraft, and I have five specialists on my team who act as the technical reps for these contracts. Let me tell you, the other four are bitter little monkeys because the fifth has to travel to Florence, Italy a bunch in the next 18 months to watch over this build. His officemate is especially bitter, since his contract work requires travel to New Jersey. Florence in the spring. You knew something about my job had to get good eventually. Now, if I could just figure out how to ship beer to my science teammates (long story). Hmmm. Celynen, is it possible to have beer delivered to somewhere on the Stanford campus? I need to get a couple six packs of Anchor brewery products to some folks. Surely, some store somewhere in the area must be willing to deliver. � � �
