2005-04-14 - 12:19 p.m. Please, Mom, can I do calculus now? My post-review week at work turned into, you guessed it, a fire-drill, thanks to the stupidity of Congress. Nevermind. I don't even want to try to explain. I spent 14 hours shifting through inaccurate financial data to compare and contrast where I could change my plan to spend less. Of course, which plan? Despite turning a very detailed plan for my spending, that's not *the* plan. Actually, there are four and a half different plans that show how I"ve agreed to spend my budget. Nevermind. I don't even want to try to explain. I don't mind planning. I am Blossom. You want a plan? I can make a plan. What I mind is (1) the inability to get everyone to agree on the plan, or, if they need to change it, talk to me about it and (2) the complete inability to get accurate data on how much of the plan has been completed. When my analysts brought me three dimensional charts today showing the relationship between vehicle tumble rates and the system momentum vector in inertial space, I hugged them to my chest and said Real engineering data! I love you guys. They're a little worried about me. |
